Getting Closer...

We just met with Adam for 3.75 hours. He is  the furniture man we are working with to furnish the new computer lab and library media center. We have selected rich, warm wood tones for the new computer lab and conference room, and light & bright wood tones for the new upper/lower grade library media center. He took many measurements, and we are looking forward to his designs. He is supposed to get back to us by Friday. More to follow....keep smiling....it will happen!!!!

We Have a Construction Date!

I just got word this morning that construction of our new computer lab and library begins on Friday, November 27, 2009! Parents, please try to come by during the school days to help me finish relocating the existing lab equipment. A special thanks to Michele and Mr. Fagan for their great support! I really appreciate it! This is the beginning of a great relationship!

Time to Dismantle the Lab!

Yesterday, Fred from the School Construction Authority came into our lab to take measurements for the architect! I have to clear out the room ASAP, and I'm excited about that! Tomorrow, Mr. Medina & I are beginning the removal of the computer desks. If you'd like one in your classroom, please let me know and I'll see what I can do.

We have set sail for Study Island!

I am pleased to announce that we have returned to Study Island! ALL STUDENTS in grades K-5 received their usernames
and passwords a few weeks ago!
Parents: Please ask your children about www.studyisland.com, and visit the site frequently with them!

Educational Technology Update

Our computer lab is being dismantled in preparation for our new one!

The new windows, shades and air conditioning are looking (and feeling) great!

Educational technology continues throughout our school. This year, we are pleased to announce that we have purchased Encyclopedia Brittanica Online. Access codes will be distributed shortly.

Update on Our Computer Upgrades

We have finished upgrading our computers in the computer lab. I am pleased to say that we now have 28 PCs available! Thank you to all the students who helped with the upgrade! It's been a long, bumpy road...but we did it!

WE HAVE 5 MORE COMPUTERS!

Thanks to all the students who have been assisting me with upgrading the PowerMac G3s! Our lunch time technology group has been working really hard! We now have over 20 working PCs in the lab.  We are still upgrading...by the end of next week, we'll have 23! 

New Lab Update

I have just been notified that our new lab will be installed in July 2009, along with our new Library Media Center!
I am very proud of our school's ability to make the best of our current setup...just imagine what we'll be able to learn when we get our new rooms!
